We bid farewell to Lynne Short of Tyler, Texas, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on September 10, 2025 at the age of 87. Lynne touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Helen Virginia Collier and Sylvester Jolly Haycraft; her former husband John G. Short, MD; and her brother John Haycraft (Steven). She is survived by: her husband Jerry Head; her children, Sandra 'Sandy' Short (Rick Henderson), John G.'Jack'Short Jr. (Hope Short, MD), Kevin Short, MD (Kimber) and Stephen Short (Belinda); her nephews, Shannon Haycraft (Lourdes) of El Paso and John Haycraft of Denver; her niece Carrie Haycraft Greer (Paul) of Fort Worth; her grandchildren, Hampton Short, Kenneth "Trey" Anderson III, John Short III, Tyler, Andrew Short of Austin and Emma Short of Chicago; her stepchildren, Bernadette Hackler (Kyle) and Nathan Head (Emily); and her caregivers, Leatrice Johnson, Linda Tilley, Katie Johnson, Jessica Monroe, Stephanie Roberts and Patricia Arroyo.
