He was predeceased by: his parents, Silas Thompson and Della Thompson; his former wife Colleen; and his siblings, Onis, Travis, Kenneth, Maynard, Nelda and Jean.
He is survived by: his wife Rae; his sons, Larry (Kim Thompson) and Paul (Karen Thompson); his grandchildren, Lindi Creel, Trevor Thompson, Arinée Conner and Rachel Bersche; his great grandchildren, Rowan, Caleb, Barrett, Cooper and Noah; and his stepsons, John Brandt of Garland and David Brandt (Valerie) of Pooler, Georgia..
