It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Charles Johnson Sr. (Tyler, Texas), who passed away on December 5, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Woodrow Johnson and Eva Ates Johnson; and his siblings, Bobbie Jean Key, Belinda Rogers and A. W. Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Johnson Jr. of Dallas, Brian Jones of Tyler, Louis Shepherd (Cornesia) of Houston, Texas, Michela Dawson of Duncanville, Shalandria Foster of Detroit and LaKeydra Crear of California; and his sister Ruth Hazel Wade (LaSandra Johnson) of Tyler. He is also survived by Nine grandchildren and one great grandchild, a host of nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.
