He is survived by: his wife Laura Retano of Tyler; his children, Rafael Retano Jr., Juan Retano, Ricardo Retano, Andres Retano, Edgar Javier Vigil Olivera, Laura Sandoval and Rosario Retano; and his grandchildren, Alexis, Isabella, Raiza, Ivan, Joel, Ricardo Jr. and Edgar. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
