He was predeceased by: his parents, Grace Rice Hillis and Leslie Floyd Hillis. He is survived by: his wife June Lillard Colville Hillis; his siblings, Harriet Kay Hillis Jansma (Jerome) and L. David Hillis; his children, Andrew David Hillis (Hillary) and Hollie Hillis Ober (David); his grandchildren, Collin Scott Ober (Alexis), Hayden Garrison Hillis (Kayla), Evan Thomas Ober, Riley Steven Hillis and Nanci Grace Hillis (Dante Bushman); and his great grandchildren, Chloe Belle Hillis and Daisy May Hillis.
