He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Spence and Vestajane Scoggins Hamilton. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Sebring Hamilton; his children, Kelli G'Sell (David) of Tyler, Willie Hamilton (Carrie) of McKinney and Becky Wands (Rob) of Farmers Branch; his grandchildren, Ellen Hamilton Faglie (Drew), Dallas G'Sell, Corey Wands, Kati Wands and Maggie Hamilton; his great grandchildren, Kynslee and Weston Faglie; his brothers, T. C. Hamilton (Sally), Bigfork, Jack Hamilton (Janna) and Phoenix; and his sister-in-law Phyllis Horn (Rusty). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

“Bob was truly "One of a Kind" Sometimes he treated me like a father would a son and sometimes as an equal friend. The few times that he shared his emotions will always be remembered. Even though I wasn't around him after he and Carolyn moved to Tyler, I still hold an attachment to that gruff little man with the big smile. I feel that a person is not really gone as long as people are remembering them. SO, I will tell stories of Bob Hamilton and our laughter until I join him. Stevie T.”
