He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard James Zimmerman and Mary Melinda Eaton; and his brothers, Howard, Russell and Stanley Zimmerman.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanette Fain Beatty Zimmerman; his daughters, Deborah Lageman (John), Lesa Carsten (Rodger), Jennifer Hardy (Wes) and Mary Zimmerman (Dan); his sister Linda Lynes; and his grandchildren, Amanda Dillon, Lana Cagle, Carmen McCarrell, Shelby Martinez, Juliet Hardy, Kathryn Hardy, River McKay and Raeyn McKay. He is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, October 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Evergreen Memorial Park (1601 N 4th St, Crockett, TX 75835).
