She was predeceased by: her parents, Carl Leon Westling and Ruth Evelyn Cardwell Westling; her brother Carl; and her daughter Kay Evelyn Barnes. She is survived by: her significant other James Franklin Barnes; her children, James F Barnes Jr. of Tyler, Sylvia Barnes Wilkinson (Gerald) of Bullard and John Carl Barnes (Tracy) of Chandler; her grandchildren, Kelley Elam (James) of Tyler, Adam Wilkinson of Buda, Kevin Wilkinson (Jessica) of St John's and Newfoundland; her great grandchildren, Kensie Elam and Idalia Wilkinson; and her sister Barbara Bouchelle of Dallas.
