With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Selma E. Eggleston of Tyler, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 4, 2025 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Elby Stevens and Rosa Lee Rippy Stevens; her husband Francis Eggleston (Frog); and her grandson Steven Smith. She is survived by: her siblings, Johnie Stevens, Hazel Miller, Doug Stevens, Ben Stevens, Loy Pennington and Annette Newsome; her granddaughter Selma; her daughters, Elaine Smith (Alfred), Janette Kelley (Ronnie) and Donna Eggleston; her grandchildren, Selena Ezernack (Joe), Jared Smith, Jeff Kelley and Heather Kitchen (Joey); and her great grandchildren, Ben, Grayson Ezernack and Jaxon Kitchen.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Burks Walker Tippit Funeral Home (215 E Front St, Tyler, TX 75702). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at the Bascom Cemetery (12489 FM 848, Tyler, TX 75707).
