He was predeceased by: his father Winfred Walter. He is survived by: his sons, Mark (Ashlea Smith) of New Harmony and Buddy (Kay Irby) of Lewisville; his brother Jerry Smith; his grandchildren, Haydon, Garrett Smith of New Harmony, Josh Irby of Lewisville and Ethan Irby of Denver, Colorado; and his niece Stacey Griffeth of New Harmony. He is also survived by several other nieces and nephews.
