She was predeceased by: her parents, Inez Christine (Horton) and Vernon Leon Clower; her son Michael Ray Schaefer; and her siblings, Sally Brezenski and James D. Clower.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Schaefer of Utopia; and her daughters, Vicki Karing (David) of Knippa, Tricia Van Pelt of Sabinal, Laura Richarz (Robert) of Utopia and Judy Gutierrez (Dave) of Sabinal. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
