He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenza Hernandez (Guzman) and Guillermo Hernandez; and his wife Estella Oliver Hernandez. He is survived by: his children, Patricia Samilpa (Anthony) of Kyle, Raquel Hernandez of Uvalde, Tony Hernandez (Alice Samilpa Hernandez) of Austin, Moses Hernandez (Gema) of Uvalde and Willie Hernandez (Emma) of Uvalde; his brother Joe Hernandez of Benbrook; and his cousin Mary Ann Garcia (Joe) of Uvalde. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary will be held on Saturday, October 4th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (401 W Leona St, Uvalde, TX 78801).
