He is survived by: his children, Artemio Salazar (Jessica) of San Angelo, Aaron Rodriquez of Uvalde, Adrian Rodriguez of Uvalde, Andres Rodriguez of Uvalde and Victoria Carranza (Otilia) of Uvalde; his grandchildren, AJ Salazar, Johnathan Salazar, Sylvester Salazar, Aaron Rodriguez, Liam Rodriguez, Cruzito Rodriguez and Jorge Carranza; and his siblings, Maria Nelia Salazar, Armando Rodriguez (Odilia), Rosa Elia Rodriguez, Veronica Flores (Roberto), Zinna Aguilera and Cynthia Martinez (Mica). He is also survived by many extended family members and close friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Rushing-Estes-Knowles Mortuary (220 S Getty St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A Mass will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (408 Fort Clark Rd, Uvalde, TX 78801).
