He is survived by: his wife Elia Talavera of Uvalde; and his children, Sonia Isabella Talavera of Lawton, Hector R. Talavera Jr. of San Antonio, Gilbert Talavera (Shelly) of Uvalde, Mark Anthony Talavera of Uvalde and Teresa Talavera (Carlos) of Irving, Texas. He is also survived by three brothers; three sisters; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
