With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Charles Barnes of Uvalde, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 6, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Miller of Texas and Anna Loyce Barnes of Texas; his sister Molly Pizanie; and his in-laws, Frank and Bette Miller.

He is survived by: his wife Karen Miller; his children, Rachel (James) and Riley (Katie); his grandchildren, Samuel, Silas, Livingstone Lee, Benjamin, Henry, Mary Margaret and Charles Christopher Barnes; and his siblings, Polly (Bill) and James (Alica). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends.
