Laura Jane Elder Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Laura Jane Elder of Uvalde, Texas, born in San Antonio, Texas, who passed away on July 28, 2022, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her father Frank Weed, Jr.; her sister Sarita Kay Weed; and her parents-in-law, Lana Smidt (Donald) and Norman Dwight Elder. She is survived by: her husband Joseph David Elder; her daughters, Mattie LaVelle and Liza Elaine; her mother Frankie Dicke (Charlie) of Uvalde; her sister Linda Gail Dullnig (Robert) of San Antonio, Texas.; her siblings-in-law, Dana Moore (Jerry) of Llano and Randy Smidt (Christi) of New Braunfels; and her nieces and nephews, Rad Dullnig, Curry Dullnig, Rolle Dullnig, Meredith Moore, Jake Moore, Dan Smidt and Ben Smidt. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Uvalde Youth Rodeo Club.
