She was predeceased by: her parents, Jesus Rios and Margarita Rios; her son Sergio Valverde; her sister Diana Samora; her nephews, Jai Rios, David Silva and Lucas Samora IV; and her great-nephew Zachary Morales.
She is survived by: her grandchildren, Isabella Louise and Sergio Alfonso Valverde of Albuquerque; and her siblings, Dora Elia Morales (Antonio) of Cedar Park, Texas, Irma Martinez of Uvalde, Texas, Xavier Rios (Cynthia) of Uvalde, Texas, Soraya (Jesse Cruz) of Uvalde, Texas and Walter Rios (Filomena) of San Antonio, Texas.. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Funeral Home (424 Geraldine St, Uvalde, TX 78801). A prayer was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
