He was predeceased by: his parents, J. W. "Bill", Jr. Austin and Charlie Ann Franklin Austin. He is survived by: his wife Susan; his son Thomas Murray Austin, Jr.; his stepchildren, Cortney Esquitin (Joseph) and James Aaron Riggins; his grandson Baxter Boone Brewer (Hayley); his siblings, Mary Ellen Mellville, John Austin (Anne) and J. W. Austin, III (Deborah); his nieces, Katie Landry and Melanie Spencer; and his nephew James Spencer.
