He is survived by: his father William Powell; his wife Kelly Hix Powell; his stepchildren, Britney, Dillion (Jacy) and Payton; his grandson Jeremiah (JJ); and his siblings, Tracy Gilkes, James Savage (Bubba), Stephanie Thompson, Shannon Schoellhorn and Vadra Underwood. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel (637 W Van Alstyne Pkwy, Van Alstyne, TX 75495). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
