He was predeceased by: his parents, R. D. Howell and Beth Howell; his stepmother Freida Howell; his brother Raymond Howell; and his grandson Carson Freeman.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Howell; his children, Jimmy Connerley and Julie; his son-in-law Robbie Rozell; his stepdaughter Jennifer Freeman; his brother Gene; his sister-in-law Judy Howell; his stepsiblings, Harold King, Gary King and Rita Rodriguez; and his grandchildren, Ashley Rozell, Hayden Rozell and Cole Freeman. He is also survived by numerous other family members and friends.
