She was predeceased by: her husband Donald Ray Smith; her parents, James Roy Burghard and Marion Faulst Burghard; and her siblings, Wendy Landreth, Alberta Snyder and Jim Burghard.
She is survived by: her children, Donald Ray "Don" Smith, Jr., James Ray Smith, Theresa Crocker and Lorrie Burgner; and her siblings, Bertha Rogers, Shirley Copeland, Linda Aamot, John Burghard and Charlene Clem. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Hilliard Funeral Home (386 N Maple St, Van, TX 75790). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 9th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location.
