He was predeceased by: his wife Karolyn Chronister; his parents, Virgil Dean Chronister and Frances Louise Crowell Chronister; and his brother-in-law James St. Clair. He is survived by: his children, Chessa (Cole Hays), Leith (Leslie Chronister), Shanda (Chris Micheels) and Blaise (Abbey Chronister); his sisters, Cheryl St. Clair and Phyllis George (Johnny); and his grandchildren, Brynlee, Bryson, Bryla, Kiaalee, Skylar, Emerie, Topher, Lorina and Ezekiel. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
