He was predeceased by: his father Peter V. Sauer. He is survived by: his wife Ruthi Stockton Sauer of Flint, Texas; his stepchildren, Debbie Cohn of Jasper, Georgia, Mary Dodson of Houston, Jon Kesler of Malakoff and Gregg Kesler of Paris, Texas; and his siblings, Joseph Sauer of Reseda, California and Barbara Martin of Columbia, Tennessee. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
