He was predeceased by : his son Dustin Joplin; his parents, Wayne Joplin and Anna Mueller Joplin; his grandmother Stella Sydow; and his father-in-law Daniel McClanahan.

He is survived by : his wife Sharee Joplin of Van; his daughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Sonny Gibson of McKinney; his daughter Laura Shenaut of Washington; his sisters, Karen Joplin and Debbie Sisley; his mother-in-law Ann McClanahan; his brother-in-law Mark McClanahan (Carla); and his grandchildren, Audrie Greer, Winter Joplin and Isabella Gibson.
