With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Dacus-Gabbard (Van, Texas), born in Tyler, Texas, who passed away on October 23, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Jerry Gabbard; her children, Jerry Wayne Gabbard and Tabitha Gabbard; her parents, Jessie Dacus and Helen Dacus; and her grandchild Devon Gabbard.

She is survived by: her daughter Sharon Hurst; her brothers, Doyle Dacus and David Dacus; her grandchildren, Amber Gabbard, Desiree Gabbard, Cody Gabbard, Darrel Burris, Morgan Tyler, Blake Hurst and Jason Hurst; her great grandchildren, Emorye Garner, Alexis Hurst, Isla Jo Hurst, Sutton Tyler, Declan Tyler, Maxx Reid, Echo Reid and Ryker Burris; her nieces, Nicole Dacus, Kimberly Lerma and Stephanie Dacus; and her nephew Brandon Dacus.
