With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Shelley Whitaker (Van, Texas), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. She was predeceased by: her husband Wilton Lee Whitaker; and her father Gerald W. Powell, Sr.. She is survived by: her sons, Lake (Whitaker) and Triston Cy (Hillary Whitaker); her mother Donna Sue Stites Powell; her siblings, Shannon Smallwood (Steve), Stephanie Powell and Gerald Wayne Powell, Jr.; her grandchildren, Malayah Whitaker, Cyrah Whitaker and Rocket Whitaker; her mother-in-law Marie Whitaker; her stepson Daniel Whitaker; and her nieces and nephews, Zach Smallwood, Holly Smallwood, Chase Powell, Whitney Wood and Blake Powell.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to SPCA East Texas or Hospice of East Texas in her memory.
