She was predeceased by: her parents, Gene Hooks and Evelyn Hooks; and her siblings, Jack Hooks and Janice Rector. She is survived by: her husband Kent Burks; her children, Shanna (My Michael Tyler), Jeramiah Burks (Buddy) and Tara (John Salmans III); her grandchildren, Lane Aubrey Salmans (Poot), Jonny Danger Jones, Nicole (Bobby Deaver), Kendal Clark and Zoey Hope Burks; and her great grandchildren, Evelyn Mae Deaver and Jamison Jack Deaver (JJ).
In lieu of Flowers, the family request donations be made to the Children's Home of Lubbock or Maypearl Church of Christ.
