He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Elwood Mayo and Margie Lee Childress Mayo; his wife Madie Mayo; his son Chuck Mayo; and his sister Shirley Graves.
He is survived by: his daughters, Amy Shipley (James) of Plano, Amanda Schlegel of Boston and Rhonda Mayo of Johnson City, Tennessee.; his grandchildren, Joshua, Jonathan, Kayla, Nikki, Jordan, Mackenzie, Madeline and Maranda; and his brothers, Jackie Mayo and Tommy Mayo. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
