He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Schaar and Annie Schenk Schaar; and his granddaughter Madeline Schaar (Maddy). He is survived by: his wife Patty Jean Atzenhoffer Schaar; his children, Donna Kuester (Scott) of Yoakum, Debbie Gregory (Ronnie) of Victoria and Robert "Bobby" Schaar (Margaret) of Victoria; his grandchildren, Tyneil McFaddin (Northcott), Charles Scott Gregory (Kayla), Clayton Gregory Katherine Schaar (Jenni) and Thomas Schaar; his great grandchildren, Brea Gregory, Colton Gregory, Lily Gregory and Jordan Gregory; and his brother Henry Roy Schaar (Mary Frances).
