With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eleasar H. Vela in Victoria, Texas, who passed away on May 17, 2025 at the age of 80. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo F. "Lencho" Vela and Barbarita H. Vela; his wife Jane Vela; his son Edward Vela; and his granddaughters, Jessica Marie and Briana Vela.
He is survived by: his siblings, Domingo, Chriselda, Manuel, Palmina, Ysmeal and Edmundo; his stepchildren, Annette Franco, Dean Anthony Garcia (Lisa), Mary Jane Benavides, Dino Garcia (Ibeth) and Trino Garcia (Yvette); his brother David; his siblings' children, Jimmy Vela and Biya; his sons, Jesse Vela and Jett Rios; and his grandchildren, Jesse Jr., Dillon and Edward Jr.. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 37 great-grandchildren, his stepchildren and their families; his siblings; and countless nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren.
