He was predeceased by: his parents, Sara Gonzales Guajardo and Donaciano Guajardo; his siblings, Martin Guajardo (Yolanda), Manuel Guajardo, Ramona Villafranca (Guadalupe), Esther Polanco (Cruz) and Corina Delgado (Pedro); and his sister-in-law Rebecca Guajardo.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Guajardo; his brother Henry Guajardo; his sister-in-law Felice Guajardo; his sons, Ernest Guajardo Jr. (Janet), Edward Guajardo and Richard Guajardo; his niece Marcia Guajardo Jaffe; his grandchildren, Bryan Guajardo (Caitlyn), Matthew Guajardo (Amelia), Amber Guajardo (Kris Gonzales), Brandon Jaffe, Noah Guajardo (Mikaela) and Eric Guajardo; and his great grandchildren, Easton, Ezra, Emerson and Gemma.
