He was predeceased by: his parents, Lawrence Ladell and Sally Caldwell Sappington; his wife Lynette Sappington; and his daughter-in-law Lauri Sappington. He is survived by: his children, Dale Sappington (Katherine) of Waco and Lisa Matthews (Bob) of Victoria; his grandsons, Trent Sappington of Waco and Kurt Mathews of Victoria; and also Robert Mathews of Victoria.
