He was predeceased by: his parents, James Cook and Hattie Cook; and his siblings, Howard, Joyce, Artis, Larry, Audry and Elanor.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kay Cook of Minnesota; his children, Lisa Lynn Owens of Bastrop, Texas, Stephen David Cook of Bastrop and Russell Lawrence Cook of Victoria; and his stepdaughters, Sherri Stewart of Colorado and Lori Jonell of North Carolina. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren as well as numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
