He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gary (Roy) and Ruth Warfield Arledge; and his sister Grace Jordan Dubose. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; and his children, James Arledge (Linda) of Gonzales, Texas, Ruth Arledge Dalrymple (Dwight) of Round Rock and Ellen Arledge Ryan (Jerry) of El Campo.
John felt like he made a contribution to the world and mankind through the many trees he planted on his properties all over Texas and the buildings he constructed.
