She was predeceased by: her parents, Alva Oris Taylor and Johnnie McCombs Cross; her husband Roy C. "Red" Simms; her children, Diane Graham and Dennis Clayton Simms; and her siblings, Betty Key, Edna Kerth, Gladys O'Neal and Jesse Taylor.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Simms Eaton and Virgil Simms of Victoria. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of customary remembrances, memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Simms may be directed to the American Heart Association or the Alzheimer's Association.
