We announce the death of Thomas Cano (Victoria, Texas), who passed away on August 29, 2026, at the age of 72. Thomas will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Guadalupe Blanco Cano Sr. and Olivia Cano (Sendejo); and his siblings, Frances Cano, Ramona Cano, Gloria Duffie, Rachael Martinez, Salvador Cano Sr. and Jesse Cano.
He is survived by: his children, Ramona Ann Cano Hernandez of Victoria, Esmeralda Suniga of Victoria, Sarah Suniga (Jose Esobedo) of Victoria, Timothy Anthony Cano of Victoria, Jamie Garcia of Pasadena, Samuel Cano of Pasadena, Thomas Miguel Suniga (Janie) of Victoria, Joseph Emanuel Cano of Victoria and Michael Sebastian Cano of Kansas; and his siblings, Paula Cano of Victoria and Guadalupe Blanco Cano Jr. of Victoria, Texas.. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 8:15 AM to 9:00 AM. A rosary was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Angel Lucy's Funeral Home (706 E Crestwood Dr, Victoria, TX 77901). A Mass was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church (208 W River St, Victoria, TX 77901). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Resurrection Catholic Cemetery (1009 E Mockingbird Ln, Victoria, TX 77904).
