With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Alton Joseph LaPoint Sr. of Vidor, Texas, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on June 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olive LeBlanc and Wilson LaPoint; his wife Palma LaPoint; and his siblings, Lerney, Vernis LaPoint and Rose Gros.
He is survived by: his children, Alton "Jody" LaPoint (Mary) of Vidor, Jerrod LaPoint of Vidor and Michele Faraci (John) of Beaumont; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Gray, Halie LaPoint, Ashley Dishman (Casey) and Kayla Harmon (Mark); and his great grandchildren, Preston, Keaton, Willow Dishman, Parker, Ella and Maddie Klaire Harmon.
