He is survived by: his children, Cheryle Nelson (Michael Hetzel) of Vidor, Texas, Christal McCrandall (Scott) of Beaumont, Texas and Cynthia Nelson of Vidor, Texas; his brother Jim Miitchell (Gina) of Victoria, Texas; his grandchildren, Trevor, Triston, Trent, Jade, Hunter, Waylon, Ella, Kristlyn and Garrett; and his great grandchildren, Braxton and Jaxon.
A memorial gathering was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor (1750 TX-12, Vidor, TX 77662).
