He was predeceased by: his son David Middleton; his parents, Glyn Cole and Irene Cole; and his sisters, Joann Stuart and Anita Erikson.
He is survived by: his wife Jenny Smith of Vidor, TX; his children, James Middleton (Jamie) of Vidor, TX, Raymond Middleton (Tasha) of Vidor, TX, Shannon Schild (John) of Vidor, TX and Anthony Cole (Amanda) of New Orleans, LA; and his brother Gary Cole of Cleveland, TN. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
