With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Robert Louis Smith Sr. of Vidor, Texas, born in Rugby, North Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 14, 2025 at the age of 80. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adian Louis and Hulda Rose Smith; his wife Molly Smith; and his brothers, Tom Smith and Ted Smith.
He is survived by: his son Robert Smith (Melissa); his grandchildren, Kori Bland (Darren), Tre Smith (Destinie) and Coby Hinshaw; his brothers, Bill Smith (Gloria) of Fargo, ND, George Smith (Elaine) of Willow City, ND, Charles Smith (Dorothy) of Garrison, ND and James Smith (Jan) of Moorehead, MN; and his siblings-in-law, Nelson Hogden, Patty James and Randall Morris. He is also survived by 9 great grandchildren.
