It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne DeWaugh Brown of Vidor, Texas, born in Falkville, Alabama, who passed away on May 21, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his wife Virginia Nell Cannon; his parents, James C. Brown and Lula Mae Brown; and his siblings, Elmo, Ralph, Ruby, Armand, Vivian, Roy and Herchell.

He is survived by : his children, Linda Kay Brown Dollar (Stephen) of Vidor, TX and Howard Wayne Brown (Jada Majors Brown); his grandchildren, Stephanie Dollar Polk (Darren) of League City, TX, Lauren Dollar Buckley (Marcus) of Vidor, TX, Elliott Browning Dollar (Chelsea Hammonds Dollar) of Montgomery, TX, Nichole Brown Mitchell (Eric) of Birmingham, AL and Kristopher Wayne Brown of Pelham, AL.; and his great grandchildren, Myah Elyse Molina, Gabriella Marie Molina, Makenna Grace Buckley, Sophie Jane Buckley, Ronan Quinn Buckley, Indy Vera Dollar, Katlynn Faith Mitchell and Ashton Connor Mitchell.

Visitation was held on Monday, June 3rd 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Greenview Funeral Home (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633). A funeral service was held on Monday, June 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Greenview Memorial Chapel (3657 Old Chisholm Rd, Florence, AL 35633).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to North Wood United Methodist Church in Florence, AL.
