She was predeceased by: her parents, Pedro Montelongo and Grace Montelongo; her husband Martin O Hewitt; her son-in-law Daniel Espino; her grandson Stephen Espino; and her siblings, Julia Martinez and Herman Montelongo.
She is survived by: her children, Velma Espino, Elizabeth Hewitt, Antonio Hewitt (Yolanda) and Tommy Hewitt; her brothers, Santiago Montelongo Sr. and Doroteo Montelongo; and her grandchildren, Michael Espino and Briana Herrera. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 5:00 PM at the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South (Mission, TX). A rosary was held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Our Lady of Angels Catholic Church (1214 Stonewall St, San Antonio, TX 78211).
