He is survived by: his wife Rosalyn "Kay" Melvin; and his siblings, Edward Melvin (Jessie), Catherine Melvin, Dorothy Melvin-Johnson, Rose Marie Melvin Crawford and Roxie Melvin. He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
