He was predeceased by: his parent Budrow; his wife Retha Furlow Bass; his siblings, Dale Bass, Budrow Bass, Jr. and Peggy Bass Stone (Bill); and his siblings-in-law, J. W. Calhoun, W. H. Furlow (June) and Martha Furlow Mueck (Victor).
He is survived by: his children, John R. Bass (Sydna), Charles E. Bass, Jr. (Sandra), Keith H. Bass (Susan) and Rebecca; his granddaughters, Carey Powell (Brandon), Sara Lichty (Erik), Graysen Bass and Barrett Bass; his great grandchildren, Hunter Powell, Hudson Powell, Mason Lichty, Lane Lichty and Jude Lichty; his siblings, Bobbie Bass Calhoun, Georgia Bass Netherland, Dimple Bass Cooper (Kenneth), Shelia Bass Mayo (Everett) and Mark Bass (Alyene); and his siblings-in-law, Melvia Bass and Norman Furlow (Sue). He is also survived by his many nephews and nieces.
