He was predeceased by: his parents, Felix Paul Phillips, Sr. and Cordella Gracie Phillips (Shores); his wife Louella Phillips; his son Charles Phillips Jr.; his siblings, Felix Paul Phillips Jr., Robert Lee Phillips, Lenon Phillips and Bobbie Jean Shelton; his granddaughter Dionna "Missy" Tucker; and his son-in-law Charles Wilson.

He is survived by: his former spouse Lou Ella "Lady" Brinkley; his children, Rev. Ronny Phillips (Vera) of Mansfield, Chris Phillips of Mansfield, Derrick Phillips (Sonya) of Waco, Texas, Kathy Wilson of Waco, Texas, Yolanda Phillips of Mansfield, Texas, Tracey Odom (Danny) of Grand Prairie and Stacey; and his siblings, Aaron Phillips (Linda), Ruby Lee Alexander (Charles), Peggy Ann Scott, Velma Phillips, Zelma Phillips and Billie Phillips. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, grand and great-grandchildren, extended family members and friends.
