He was predeceased by: his parents, John Herman Powell Sr. and Georgia Marie Scott Powell of Gholson, Texas.; and his siblings, John Herman Powell Jr. and Barbara Jane Powell. He is survived by: his wife Katy; his daughter Kami Sha Coleman (Kevin); his grandson Charles Edward Williams III; and his sisters, Georgia Fay Powell Bradshaw of Waco and Owetta Powell Bowman of San Antonio. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
