She was predeceased by: her parents, Eloisa Mata and Frank Mata (Domingo); her daughter Theresa Requena of Patena; her granddaughter Leesa Marie; her brother Steven Mata; and her siblings-in-law, Alicia Requena-Garcia and Adam Requena.

She is survived by: her husband Domingo Requena; her close friends, Bernice, Trish, Debra, Annette and Sherryl; her son Gabriel Requena (Diane); her granddaughter Olivya Zavala; her brother George Rivera (Sharon); her grandchildren, Matthew Requena, Samuel Requena, Landry Requena, Annette Garcia and Louis Garcia; her great grandchild Theresita; and her siblings-in-law, Andres Garcia, Robert Requena (Abby), Frank Requena (Rosie), Martin Requena (Yolanda), Jessie Requena, Ricky Requena, Susana Barron (Porfirio), Janie Mendez (Rudy) and Tina Requena.

A rosary was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 6:30 PM at the Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Funeral Home (6101 Bosque Blvd, Waco, TX 76710). Visitation was held on Monday, October 19th 2026 from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the St. Francis on the Brazos Catholic Church (315 Jefferson Ave, Waco, TX 76701). A burial was held on Tuesday, October 20th 2026 at the Oakwood Cemetery (2124 S 5th St, Waco, TX 76706).
