She was predeceased by: her mother Maria Nelly Avila; and her grandmother Eloisa Losoya Tomelloso. She is survived by: her husband Dr. J. Anthony Luévanos; her father Mauro Avila; and her siblings, Patricia Avila Peña (Aaron J. Peña), Maria Nelly Menchaca (Jason N. Menchaca) and Edgar M. Avila. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
