It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erick Scooter Hartwig in Waco, Texas, born in McKinney, Texas, who passed away on February 2, 2026, at the age of 35, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Carl and Bobbie Hartwig; and his cousin John Hartwig. He is survived by: his parents, Erika Guy and Wayne Hartwig; his son Erick, Jr.; his brothers, Weslee Hartwig and Brantley Hall (Trinity); his grandparents, Phillip and Brenda Guy; his aunts and uncles, Richard Guy (Tiffany), Jessika Birkes (David), Carl Hartwig Jr. and Lynne Trotter (Russell); and his cousins, Kaylee Guy, Cooper Guy, Skye Birkes, Seeley Birkes, Axel Birkes, Jennifer Sampson, Bubba Askew, Sarah Askew-Carter and Justin Askew.
