He was predeceased by: his brother Charles Cox (Linda). He is survived by: his wife Julia Ann Johnson; and his children, Dennis Cox (Elizabeth), Kristin Rankins (Robert) and Emily Johnson. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren; and six great‑grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Grace Gardens Funeral Home (8220 Woodway Dr, Woodway, TX 76712). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Highland Baptist Church (2924 Trice Ave, Waco, TX 76707).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shepherd's Heart food pantry in Waco or Care Net Pregnancy Center of Central Texas.
